These videos aren't super recent...I think they were from about a month ago.
But they are still funny.
I found them while I was cleaning out my camera role.
I forgot Henry had taken them.
Just ignore the part where Henry shows me...
I promise I haven't given up on life- even if it looks like I have....braless in a nightgown....
Bence was too funny to not post it.

P.S. (thanks for checking in. I haven't  had a whole lot of time to comment on other blogs, but I've been keeping up! Unbeknownst to you, you've probably kept me highly entertained in the wee hours of the morning while trying rock mr. Fusspot to sleep!)

Just a midweek post....

I just have some pictures to share.
Most of them taken in the wee hours of the morning.
For some reason, that's when I get the best ones!

Enjoy!

the reality of motherhood

this week has been eye-opening.
i wasn't ever naive enough to think that motherhood would always be sweet smelling babies cooing and smiling all the time...
but i wasn't quite prepared for my little man to have- (as my dad would say)-"a piss-poor attitude about life."
(a comment he made about me in a family video from yesteryear)
this was what Sunday night, Monday, Monday night, and part of Tuesday looked like:

....in other words--baby cuss words.

At first i thought it was just colic or purple crying, whatever you want to call it.
I think this is why people say first babies survive their parents and subsequent children survive their siblings...
sometime Tuesday morning I had the bright idea that Bence might just be hungry, even though he had just eaten.
Usually if he seems frantic after eating I try to give him a pacifier first since it's usually just gas (or burps) and eating more just makes things worse.
Not this time.
Turns out he was just hungry.
Really hungry.
In fact, you'd think he hadn't eaten in ages the way he was carrying on.
I had no idea that in one day he would go from eating 4 oz every  four hours to eating 6 oz every two to three hours.
Poor little guy was just hungry!
Needless to say I feel like a terrible mother, but now little buddy is much happier.
The rest of the week he has looked like this....

....In other words...angelic.

Christmas Card Bloopers

Last night we took pictures of Little Buddy for our Christmas Cards.
We had some that turned out pretty good- and a lot that turned out...not so good.
After less than ten minutes of putting Bence in a cute little Christmas-y outfit
(compliments of Nana)
he had successfully spit up all over himself in three different places.
Somehow his feet were included in the cheesy-ness.
I also found a huge wet spot right on the appliqued Santa Face that happened to be on the butt of his pants. Turns out Mommy didn't poke certain parts down-so although his diaper was completely dry, his little pants were soaked.
this was the reasoning behind the "nice" pictures being black and white- you can't see all the wet spots!
We thought we'd share some of the "blooper" pictures.
This way sending Christmas cards isn't completely redundant.

He really doesn't like looking in the direction of the camera.
He also really likes to make his clothes a mess whenever we want him to look presentable.
This was round two of trying to take pictures.
Round one followed lunchtime and a bath (both of which he made it through without disaster)
until i put his top on.
i think there is a baby-jinx on clean clothes.

oh well!
we had fun, and Christmas cards are ordered and on their way.
(they may even be on time this year!)
